Top Posts of 2014

2014 top posts

As I did last year, I thought it would be fun to highlight the top posts of 2014 to wrap up the end of the year.  Last year, I did all time top posts, so to change it up for this year, I chose to focus on only 2014 posts this year.  I’m not one to look at my blog stats too intensely or regularly, so it was quite interesting to see the top 10.  It is also like a little trip down memory lane of my projects.  🙂  So, here we go!

#10 – My New Mohawk Rug

I was truly surprised to see the Mohawk Rug in the top 10, but I think it had something to do with the fact that I was also giving one away!!

#9 – DIY Mini Pallet Ornaments

These ornaments were a fun and easy little project.  Plus, I got to use some of the cards that I have stashed away for years.

#8 – Baby Shower Invitation

1-DIY Diaper baby shower invitations

My original DIY Diaper Invitations are still #1 in the history of Puddy’s House, so it wasn’t really a surprise to see the updated version made the top 10 for the year.

#7 – DIY Seashell Mirror

DIY Seashell Mirror - after pic in living room

I loved making this mirror!  I still remember it fondly, because I was happily gluing seashells in the middle of one of the nasty snow storms in 2014.  It was also interesting that seashells were in the top 10, as the seashell wreath was last year.

#6 – Ugly to Pretty

Ugly to Pretty - before and after

This pair of chairs really got a transformation with new paint and reupholstering, and the fresh new look was quite popular!

#5 – Extra Pretty Easter Seating

Folding Chair Makeover - Before and After

Another set of chair makeovers…I was pushed to get this pair of crusty old folding chairs updated in time for Easter this year, and I’m so glad I did.  I was just as happy to pull them out for extra seating at Christmas too. 🙂

#4 – DIY Winter Wreath

DIY Winter Wreath - complete in 3 easy steps

I had never made a winter wreath before, but I was motivated to not have a bare front door all winter long.  This wreath is really as easy as 1-2-3, so if you need inspiration for this winter, definitely check it out.

#3 – DIY Spring Wreath

DIY Spring Wreath 2014 - after on front door

My Spring Wreath’s always seem to get attention – this one was actually posted on Good Housekeeping.com at one point this year, which was such a nice surprise.  The reality of this spring wreath is that it stayed on our front door all summer long too!

#2 – Ugly to Pretty 2.0

Yes, I made over the same ugly chairs 2 times in one year!  You will have to read the posts to get the full details, but this was their last makeover.   As much as I loved version 1, I really loved version 2!

#1 – Protein Power Balls

Having the Protein Power Balls be my number 1 post of the year is just shocking for many reasons.  First, I’m such a total recipe follower that I can’t believe I made up this recipe.  Second, I’m not really much of a cook, so its good these don’t involve an oven, but I would still consider it “cooking”.  Third, I don’t really think they look that good….had to add the coconut just so they looked more appealing – they are pretty healthy after all.  And, lastly I have only like 3 recipes on my blog, so the fact these got any attention has to be thanks to Pinterest.

That wraps up 2014 here at Puddy’s House.  So glad you stopped by.   Let me know what you enjoyed in 2014, even if it didn’t make the top 10, and what do you want to see more of in 2015?

Here’s to a Happy and Healthy 2015!!
