2013 top posts at Puddy's House

As my first full year of blogging comes to a close, I thought it would be fun to actually look at my stat history and see what the top posts of 2013 were. Oddly, half of them were from 2012.   Maybe that’s normal, or maybe that is just an indication of a younger blog….I really have no clue!  Nonetheless, it was fun to reflect on what readers are looking at the most.  Without further ado, here is the list:

Easy DIY Burlap Christmas Tree Craft Header

10 – Easy Burlap Christmas Tree

DIY Seashell Wreath - header pic

9 – DIY Seashell Wreath

Christmas - Puddy on porch with greenery in urns

8 – Our Christmas House

Baby Shower - Diaper Cake Snow Woman

7 – Keri’s Baby Shower

Baby Shower - DIY Ornament Favors- Teardrop with sparkle

6 – DIY Baby Shower Favors

Bar Backsplash - After full bar view

5 – Basement Bar DIY Backsplash

Kitchen Cabinets - After left side from dining room view

4 – Kitchen Makeover

DIY Christmas Decorations - Jute Twine Wrapped Cookie Cutter

3- DIY Christmas Decorations

DIY Christmas Ornaments - Green and White Swirled paint in glass ornament

2 – DIY Christmas Ornaments

Baby Shower - DIY Diaper Invitations

1 – DIY Diaper Invitation

The top 10 definitely shows that I have a focus on DIY and that’s what readers seem to be looking for.  But, what I also learned was that Pinterest really leads people to my blog.  My most pinned pictures correspond to the highest blog traffic of the year.  I also learned that my photography seems to be improving….the diaper invitations were one year ago and I feel like it is a terrible picture because the invitations were so cute and they don’t look that cute in the picture.  Overall, I had a fun trip down the memory lane of my top blog posts.  I’m looking forward to another great year in 2014 and lots more DIY projects.

Happy New Year!!  Here’s to a wonderful 2014!!

I think it is totally normal for old posts to be the ‘most popular’ since they are the oldest. My original posts from years ago are still the ones with the most pageviews. Remember they had a whole extra year to get eyeballs on them!

Anyhoo.. I hope you have a great 2014!
