I’m sure everyone is in the midst of holiday season prep and I am definitely in that mode too, but this little guy interrupted some of my plans today.  If you follow on Facebook,  you already saw these pictures.  But, Puddy decided the popcorn and cranberry garland was pretty tasty and didn’t belong on our tree.

He’s almost too cute to be mad at for long.  Fortunately, his belly seemed to handle the treat okay.  This post isn’t about Christmas decorating though, because I’m still not done and I didn’t accomplish all of the craft/DIY Christmas projects that I wanted to either.  And, I am definitely a real-time blogger.  I generally finish a project, take my pictures and post.  So, this is all to say I don’t have an exciting project to write about today.  But, since Puddy was already the star of the day with his antics I thought I would share how we organize all of his doggie supplies.  These are actually pictures I took a little while ago when I was updating Puddy’s treat storage and I just didn’t get around to sharing, and honestly was questioning whether I would share them at all.  But, I figure there are lots of pet owners out there, and maybe you need some ideas for how to organize your pet’s supplies.  Or, maybe you have better ideas to share of how you already organize.

We have 2 treat jars for Puddy on our kitchen counter and they didn’t match.

I didn’t think anything of it, because the glass jars were still better than the boxes sitting around.  But, while I was out yard sale shopping I found a jar that looked exactly like the one on the left above, just bigger.  The price was right too, so I bought it.

It sat waiting for a while…no real reason why, other than I just didn’t take the time to clean it up and switch the jars.  I like this style much better, because it is just a pull off lid rather than a screw on lid.  Puddy gets a treat every time he comes in from outside bathroom trips, so we are in the jars several times a day.  I like that now that they match and are easy to use.

Most of Puddy’s other supplies are stored in various spots of our laundry room.  We installed a shelf on the wall between the doors to the kitchen and basement to hold not only my purse and our keys, but also Puddy’s leashes.

It is a convenient spot so they are handy if we are going out somewhere in the car or just getting ready for a walk.  I have the little doggie bag holder attached to his red leash that we use for walks.  So, I have a supply of doggie bags stored in the laundry room too.  I searched for a long time to find something that would store the bags nicely, and I finally found a tissue box holder at TJ Maxx that had a solid bottom.  It works really well.  I just reuse the newspaper bags, so its easy to add more and to take out when I need them for walks.

The other necessities we store in the laundry room are Puddy’s food and his medicine and grooming supplies.  The food is in the laundry room closet.  Puddy has two kinds of food, so I use a big clear tub for the “lite” food that he gets more of, and a small Tupperware container (the pink one in the picture) for the other food that he only gets a few pieces a day so we buy it in much smaller quantity.

I showed our laundry room cabinets before when I was organizing.  Puddy’s medicine and grooming supplies are on the bottom shelf of the one cabinet.  I also keep a spare bowl for traveling and some extra newspaper baggies.

Last, but not least, we had to have some storage for Puddy’s toys.  He actually has two spots, one in the living room and one in the basement family room.  We keep his toys in low baskets so that he can pull out whatever he wants when he wants to play.  Of course, I couldn’t get near his toys without him wanting to check them out too. 🙂

Then, Puddy made me take a break to play with him for a while too.
